Travel & Visa

We advise colleagues to book a direct flight to Cairo International Airport (CAI) or Sphinx Airport (SPX).

From Sphinx Airport (SPX) it is about 30 minutes drive to the hotel of accommodation, and about one hour save drive from Cairo Airport.

Regarding Visa, you are requested to check local Egyptian Embassy to get a visa for entry to Egypt. Please consider that the process might require a number of weeks.

Accommodation/venue

Accommodation is arranged in the Pyramids Park Resort, Giza- Egypt where is the venue of the symposium.

B&B accommodation in single and double rooms are available.

The resort has a prime location in front of the Grand Egyptian Museum (opening soon), close to the region's most amazing sights. The Resort is only 5 min away from the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx, and only 30 min away from the Egyptian Museum at Tahrir Square and the Citadel.

Note that

Extra days of accommodation are available at the same resort with the same prices before/after the symposium.
- Single room: €65 all-inclusive, based on bed & breakfast per room.
- Double room: €75 all-inclusive, based on bed & breakfast per room.

A variety of self-paid excursions are available in Greater Cairo upon your requests.
